Bangalore -> Kanakpura -> Bluff -> Chamrajnagar-> BR Hills -> Chamrajnagar -> Punjur -> Satyamangalam->Mettupalayam-> Kotagiri->coonoor-> ooty->Masnigudi(Mudumalai)-> Bandipur-> Gundalpet-> Begur->Hediyal->Heggadadevankote-> Nagarhole(National park) -> Heggadadevankote -> Bhimanahalli -> Hunsur -> Kushalnagar -> Mercara -> Somvarpet -> Kenchammana Hoskote -> Sakleshpura -> Hassan -> bellur -> Kunigal -> DodBallapur -> Devaanahalli -> Nandi hills -> Bangalore

The places in bold letters are places of interest and are part of Nilgiris Ranges. We have not decided as yet about, if we would like to do it the other way aroud, As in, instead of going to BR-Hills first we can go to Nandihills and so on.

If we take the clock-wise direction as proposed above in that case, he stoppages would like

Day 1 : 157Km (Bangalore -> Chamrajnagar), with lunch break near Bluff. -> Night stay at Chamrajnagar

Day 2 : BR Hills Climb and back to Chamrajnagar (Bad Roads) -> Total Distance close to 100Km -> We can alse think of going to Punjur and staying there.

The bull and the bullock-cart

The other day I was going back home from my Work, and I found this hilarious sight. A bullock-cart is being used as a garbage career, and clicked them.

Three thoughts run though my mind

It is funny to see such thing in India’s HI-Tech city, Bangalore.

It is good at least there is some provision to get the garbage collected from the big apartment complex. At least the nearby empty place will not become the dumping yard for the garbage. But i also have a question, "Is this facility arranged by the Civic authority?"

Where is this garbage being dumped? Obviously not far off, at the designated place, the dumping yard. So, where...? If they dump this some place nearby, it can be big health hazards for the locality.

Power –cuts <-> Bangalore

Sounds familiar, doesn’t it?
According to one this blog by The Bangalorean, there are power-cuts in Bangalore. I think there are power-cuts all over India. But who is/are responsible for this, candidates are
The public (Aam Junta)
The Government
The Electricity generating and distributing agencies
I think all above are culprits. Your opinion please ….

How about legalizing the corruption!! :)

India is one of the most corrupted nation according to the post http://us.rediff.com/money/2003/oct/07corrupt.htm
Now what if i take in a different way, and i say that corruption is actually not corruptoin but just a norm or a tip.
The problem with corruption as we experience that there is an element of intimidation to it. Since it is not going to go away (being pessimistic), we should consider legalising it. It should be considered a form of a tip, an obligatory service tax, and the government could promulgate a tip schedule for the babus and cops in its employ. And the Supreme Court could do the same for the judiciary, with a special discount rate for losers. The righteous and upright officials could always decline the tip. Everything will be above board. Transactions and trials will be speeded up. And the government will not have to worry about increasing salaries. In one fell swoop corruption as we know will disappear. Perhaps.

The usual rash cab driving- update

And the game is over .......
The driver is suspended. He does not work there any more. I got this confirmation from the head of the admin department of the BPO company.

I was driving to office amidst usual traffic worsened by cab drivers with rash driving. As expected a cab overtook me, almost kissing my car. I could not do much at that moment, noted down the registeration number and followed the cab. Landed up in a BPO compny near ITPL, The security did not allow me in. I talked to the head of admin department, he invited me in. He requested me to give a written complaint, i did. Within 10 mins he showed me a letter, which was suspension order for cab driver.
Surprising, isn't it? But sometimes pursuasion pays off(stating this with hope that he really gets suspended! planning to check it tomorrow.)
I lost around 40 mins in all these, but at the end of it i am satisfied :-)

The Responsible Corporates

The Bangalore, also known as the IT capital of India, is witnessing a total collapse infrastructure as far as traffic is concerned. Don't blame it only on docile government, lack of civic sense by public and corporates is equally responsible for it. Please find few snaps attached, which proves how the Bangalore corporates add to the traffic chaos. These snaps clearly indicate that one of the IT giants, Tata Elxsi, is using roads as their parking lot.

I also tried to get in touch with the company admin department, but they were not concerned at

all. Nobody has any rights to use the roads and foot-path to park vehicles. I have also sent these pictures to an e-mail address (dcomeast@bcp.gov.in) found on the bangalore poilce website, but I have not got any reponse from any one of them. I also tried calling the traffic control room but the langauge is the barrier, looks like they always accept complaints in the regional language only.
